Novara of Sicily. Former Minister Fabrizio Barca presents the book “Quale Europa” together with Prof. Gaetano Giunta in Piazzetta Furnari

An event of great cultural importance on Wednesday 15 May 2024 in the village of Novara di Sicilia: at 6.30 pm in Piazzetta Furnari, in the heart of the historic centre, the presentation of the book “Quale Europa. Understanding, discussing, choosing” published by Donzelli Editore.

There will be two exceptional guests who will arrive in Novara and we are talking about Fabrizio Barca, politician and economist, co-coordinator of the Inequalities and Diversity Forum and former Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion of the Italian Republic, and Gaetano Giunta, responsible for development of the Strategic Plan of the Messina Foundation.

The Union hoped for in this book, which collects the contributions of numerous authors within or close to the ForumDD, is a place for the promotion of universal welfare, not penalized by austerity, where knowledge and data are accessible and available to communities, where ecological transformation is accelerated in the interest first and foremost of the most vulnerable to achieve a fairer way of living and working and where public policies and government are democratized. A Europe that becomes aware of its fundamental role in migratory processes and that acts as a builder of cooperation and peace.”

The Mayor Dr. Gino Bertolami will also participate in the meeting to be held in Novara di Sicilia and will bring institutional greetings and do the honors together with the Councilor for Culture and Deputy Mayor Salvatore Buemi, in an event not to be missed.
