Cala Violina: limited access, 700 people per day. Costs and how to book

Cala Violina, one of the pearls of the Maremma coast

GROSSETO – The controlled management of access to Cala Violina (Grosseto) has also been confirmed for 2024. From Saturday 1st June until 30th September, to spend a day on the beach of Parco delle Costiere you need to book on the website www.calaviolinascarlino.it: all the necessary information is provided on the portal.

From 8.30 to 18.30 700 people can access the beach every day: the booking fee is one euro, for children from one year up to 12 years there is no fee to be paid but only a reservation. For babies from 0 to 12 months, the payment of the contribution and the reservation are not required.

On the same site it is also possible to book a space for the vehicle in the Val Martina rest area (200 spaces available): the daily cost (regardless of the arrival time) is ten euros for cars and motorbikes and 15 euros for campers. The area is accessible from 8am to 8pm. Reservations are only possible 72 hours before the chosen day. The 200 spaces are to be understood as daily, vehicle turnover is not expected. Parking is subject to a fee even during weekends in May: in this period, Bandite di Scarlino employees are present on site to collect and issue the ticket.

Access by car to the beach is permitted for people with disabilities with a companion. Dogs are not allowed in Cala Violina from 1st June to 30th September – with the exception of guide and rescue dogs – and the passage of horses is always prohibited. There are no waste bins: it is also forbidden to abandon rubbish and throw cigarette butts and other smoking products throughout the entire coastal area. At the entrance to the car park and the beach there will be stewards who, in addition to checking reservations, will be available to bathers to provide them with all the necessary information.
