The story of the beating of Cristiano Iovino, attacked on the night between 21 and 22 April in front of his house in Milan, saw the involvement of Fedez, brought into play by the testimony of two people who recognized him near the place where the attack occurred. A reconstruction reported by numerous newspapers and which Fedez himself seems not to have appreciated. “Everyone talks about a massacre, but shortly after he went dancing. If it weren’t for my name there wouldn’t be any news,” the rapper told the Press shortly before a meeting on mental health at the Book Fair Auditorium. “I wasn’t there, and you can’t see anything from the camera,” Fedez further explained. “There is talk of nine people who massacred a person, all AC Milan ultras. The person is attacked, the ambulance arrives” – he reconstructed – “but he is not taken to hospital. Everyone talks about a massacre, but if this person does not she was taken to hospital, there is no medical report and she didn’t report it, what are we talking about? Moreover, shortly afterwards he went dancing in Ibiza… If it wasn’t for my name there wouldn’t be any news.”
“Young people don’t give a damn about what Fedez does”
During the meeting, some pro-Palestine activists, including the influencer Karem Rohana, better known on Instagram as Karem from Haifa, used the space dedicated to questions to criticize the unequal treatment of Ukrainian refugees by the Order of Psychologists and Palestinians. Among the speakers at the event was in fact the national president of the Order of Psychologists David Lazzari, who was criticized. After Lazzari’s reply, Fedez spoke. “On the one hand there are young people who have priorities and want to participate (referring to the scuffles the day before with the pro-Palestine demonstrators at the centre, ed) on the other hand, the press that deals with the bullshit that Fedez does at night and you haven’t understood that they don’t give a damn.”
