Yesterday, at the “Bozzi” in Florence, the celebration broke out for Paternò, who won the Italian Cup of Excellence by beating Solbiatese 1-0, an achievement which earned them promotion to the fourth series; match winner, Asero, who brought the trophy back to Sicily 24 years after the last time.
This morning, however, Lazio’s Group A was decided with a play-off: at the “Tre Fontane” stadium (home of the Roma Women), W3 Maccarese and Rieti battled, ending regulation time at 2-2. In the same games, it was then Rieti who prevailed with a one-goal advantage, and celebrated promotion to the higher category.
