Students from the fifth grade of primary school participated in the event
The educational day dedicated to road safety education was held yesterday morning at the Costaverde Shopping Centre, intended for students in the fifth grades of the Primary School in Piazza della Libertà.
The event, organized by the Local Police of the Municipality of Montenero di Bisaccia with the free collaboration of the company “Pissta” (acronym for Emergency Road Safety and Environmental Protection), the Omnicomprehensive Institute of Montenero di Bisaccia, the Conad Space and the Center Commerciale Costaverdeche made the area where the activities took place available, it began with a theoretical didactic lesson held by the staff of the Pissta company, in the presence of the municipal employees of the Local Police; Afterwards, the children were able to put the knowledge they had learned into practice, trying their hand at driving a pedal quadricycle on a route on which there were various road signs, including a pedestrian crossing, a Stop sign and other indications.
Following the practical test, the young students received a “driving licence”, with souvenir photos and gadgets.
“A beautiful day dedicated to road education and fun – the organizers commented – which had the aim of raising awareness among young people about safety and the rules of the Highway Code through the playful aspect.
We are confident that this initiative, which was proposed more than 15 years after the last of its kind, can contribute to giving future motorcyclists and motorists a greater sense of responsibility and attention towards the road and the vehicles that travel on it and pedestrians who cross it.

We also thank the Costaverde Shopping Center and the Conad Space located inside for the area made available.
