Brembate, thieves blow up the ATM with gas

Thieves went on the rampage during the night between Friday and Saturday (11 May): an ATM was blown up in Brembate, and the “Cornali” jewelery shop was robbed in Dalmine.

Around 4 in the heart of Brembate a roar woke up the residents: the thieves blew up the ATM of the Popolare di Sondrio in via Vittore Tasca, in the historic center of the town. The damage is extensive, while the loot has not yet been quantified: the carabinieri of Treviglio, who started the investigations also thanks to the footage from the credit institution’s cameras. At least three thieves were in action, who then made off with two cars and the loot. When the soldiers arrived, the gang had already disappeared.

It wouldn’t be the same gang that went into action instead Dalmine, at the «Cornali» jewelery shop in Largo Europa: after having silenced the alarm siren with shaving cream, at least three thieves forced a rear window and smashed the jewelery windows with sledgehammers.
