Accident, on the morning of today 11 May, in Uboldo. Two people were injured, less seriously than initially expected (the code was red but then changed to yellow).
It happened after 10am on Saronnese, near the Keropetrol petrol station, where a Yaris coming from Rescaldina turned: during the manoeuvre, according to an initial reconstruction by the local police, it was hit by a Ford Fiesta which was overtaking, coming from the same direction of travel. The impact was very strong, causing the Ford Fiesta to spin.
Accident in Uboldo: the two boys escaped with bruises and abrasions
The worst was feared for the two boys on board, aged 25 from Origgio and Legnano, so much so that the firefighters intervened, as well as an ambulance from the Viola Cross of Cesate and a medical car. In reality they escaped with bruises and abrasions: the crew transported them to the hospital in Saronno.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta, aged 50, was accompanied by the local police to the hospital to undergo alcohol and drug tests: the suspicion is that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, because according to witnesses he was driving recklessly, continuing to overtake from Legnano.
