The premises of the CRAL Ibleo, on the initiative of the President of the National Carabinieri Association of Ragusa, Enzo Santo Buccheri, hosted an important meeting with the leaders of the local force, invited to dialogue with the members and citizens about highly topical issues such as the methods of combating and defending against the rampant criminal phenomenon of fraud against people with disabilities, especially the elderly, which increasingly affects the weakest sections of the population. The Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Ragusa, Col. Carmine Rosciano, addressed his greetings and thanks to all those present, underlining the importance of this moment of meeting, an integral part of the prevention activity that the Force carries out in the area. Subsequently, the interventions of the Commander of the Company, Capt. Giovanni Ronchi, and of the Ragusa Main Station, Lgt.cs Ezio Mancini, examined the topic in more detail by analyzing the most common cases of scams perpetrated by criminals and providing the participants with I encounter important indications on how to defend oneself from these crimes, which are among the most widespread and complex to prosecute. The Carabinieri recalled the importance, even if one were to encounter such unpleasant events, to immediately contact the single emergency number 112, in order to receive immediate assistance and information on how to best repel the attempted deception.
