Michele Zeoli, coach of Catania, responded to journalists’ questions this morning:
“At a staff level we have had these two weeks and we have seen and reviewed the potential opponents, including Pescara and Rimini who we have already faced in the Italian Cup. The Under 23s should not be underestimated, as evidenced by Atalanta who had three on the bench in the Europa League after having played in the Serie C playoffs.
We will have the opportunity to discuss with the match analyst, many factors come into play in the playoffs. Injured? Sturaro is tired and we hope to recover for the second leg of the first round, Ndoj and Tello continue to put fuel in their legs, Bethers and Silvestri have joined the group even if 99% of us had thought about including Tommaso in the list but now is not the time to talk about it even if the boy would like to be part of the available ones.
Fiuggi? Right choice also for logistical reasons, we are together, we watch the opponents together and we have more time to prepare for the matches. A choice that I agree with like yesterday’s to give fans the opportunity to follow training, these situations are worth more than tactical ones, the fans spoke to us and found the right words to explain the moment, I thank the club and the fans who came. Sometimes I saw these guys far from the square, it’s my thought, and yesterday was a day that every coach would like to have, you can encourage them in any way, but two thousand people make the difference.”
