He sets fire to a car parked under his window owned by a neighbor. No one injured. The vehicle was completely destroyed.
The Carabinieri of the Biancavilla station have a 19 year old arrested of the place for the arson of one’s neighbor’s carguilty in his opinion of having parked his car under the window of his home.
In particular, around 02.00 at night, a patrol of the local police force, already engaged in that area for a service to prevent widespread illegality, in a matter of minutes reached the area of Piazza Cavour, where some passers-by had reported at the Paternò Operations Center, the presence of a car on fire.
In fact, the crew, upon arriving on site, found themselves faced with a Fiat 126 which was about to be totally devoured by flames. At that point, after having made the area safe, the Fire Brigade of the Adrano Detachment called for intervention. who once arrived immediately put out the fire, reporting that the burning of the vehicle was considered arson.
He parked his car under the wrong window
In those moments, the soldiers who intervened immediately began investigations to identify the person responsible for the fire, both by listening to the testimonies of some people present during the excited phases of the fire, and by incorporating every element of information useful for the reconstruction of the facts, through their profound knowledge of the dynamics, criminal and otherwise, of the territory.
Precisely thanks to the ability to understand the interpersonal balance of the place, the investigators managed to acquire clear circumstantial elements that could lead to suspicion of the young neighbor of the owner of the 126.
Once the searches began, the alleged arsonist was not found, neither in the house nor where the 19-year-old used to go. Hours, therefore, of pressing and incessant activity which, in the end, proved operationally effective.
In fact, at around 3.30 the boy, hunted, spontaneously showed up at the barracks. The young man admitted that he had just set his neighbor’s car on fire. Continuing his story, the young man then explained that he had had no delay. Without even asking his neighbor next door to move the vehicle, he had decided to set the car on fire. So he went to a nearby fuel station and then set the car on fire.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although the fire caused the facade of the house to blacken. The car, kept in excellent condition by the owner, a vintage car enthusiast, was completely destroyed.
