For having defrauded an elderly woman, who lives in Calabria, managing to have gold objects delivered, for a total value of approximately ten thousand euros, two men were reported by the police to the judiciary.
The two were stopped by the Polstrada along the A2 Mediterranean Motorway, near Lagonegro (Potenza): the old woman’s objects were found in the car they were traveling in.
The charge is aggravated fraud in conspiracy.

The crews of the Lagonegro Traffic Police Subsection positioned themselves in strategic points to identify the reported vehicle, stopping it safely.
After a thorough search, numerous gold objects worth around 10,000 euros were found, recognized as her own by the defrauded lady.
The two criminals, after identification, were referred to the Judicial Authority for the crime of aggravated fraud in competition.
The speed of intervention of the State Police operators this time made it possible to avoid yet another attack by the so-called “travellers”, fake members of the police force who take advantage of the goodness and kindness of the pillars of the families, the grandparents, to deceive them and also strip them of their dignity.

The criminal responsibility of the suspects will be ascertained only at the outcome of the trial with an irrevocable criminal sentence.
