May 12th is getting closer and closer, the date that rightfully enters the history of the Biancoceleste. On May 12, 1974, the Lazio won his first Scudetto. Sunday, exactly 50 years after that historic triumph, on the occasion of the home match of Tudor’s team against Empoli, will be the opportunity to remember it with various initiatives at the Olympic Stadium in Rome and beyond.
Today, at the microphones of Radio you areone of the protagonists of that triumph spoke: Renzo Garlaschelli. The former Biancoceleste striker spoke about Sunday and the historic May 12, 1974:
“I don’t know if I’ll be there on Sunday, it remains to be seen (laughs, ed.). We’re at the last corner before the finish line. I haven’t been to the Olimpico for years, it will certainly be exciting. It will be a great party.
May 12th was an unforgettable day for everyone. If after 50 years we are still here celebrating, it means that we have done something good. Of course, without my goals we wouldn’t have celebrated. It’s the pure and simple truth (laughs, ed.), nothing new”.
