“Full closeness to Laura Chimenti and to all the RAI colleagues who in these hours have suffered serious threats and unworthy attacks for not having joined the strike. The solidarity of Italian journalists goes to them”. Thus the association comments, on read the editions of TG1″, as reported by the Rai CEO, Giampaolo Rossi, during the hearing last night in the Supervisory Commission.

What Rossi said

“In these hours there have been some journalists from Rai, from TG1 in particular, who did not join the strike, including the journalist Laura Chimenti who read the editions of TG1, which were the subject of very violent attacks and death threats even on social media. I would like the Commission to express its solidarity towards the journalists who have decided to work and who are instead suffering aggression due to the climate that has been created by this exaggerated strike”. Rai CEO Giampaolo Rossi said this during the Supervisory hearing, regarding the strike on Monday 6 May. “I hope – added Rossi – that the Commission expresses solidarity with the colleagues who decided to work that day”.
