On 11 March 2024, a new Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated gases came into force. Since the scope of application of products and equipment that must be labeled as containing fluorinated gases has been expanded under the new regulation, it is necessary to update the format of the new labels for systems containing fluorinated gases.
In the text, express reference is made to the installer, who will have to insert the added refrigerant to cover the distances in split systems and the safety requirements that had to be fulfilled in the case of using the exemption referred to in Annex 4 of the F-Gas 3.0.
The Commission wants to know the opinion of the sector, so it will be possible to provide feedback on the draft for the next ones 4 weeks. The feedback will be taken into consideration for the finalization of the initiative.
The feedback received will be published on the ec.europa.eu website and must therefore comply with the pre-established feedback rules.
