In the late evening of May 8, 1945, corresponding, in Moscow, to May 9, in Berlin, Field Marshal Keitel signed the surrender of Nazi Germany which thus put an end to the Second World War in Europe.
This also happened at the end of the last battle for Berlin, conducted by the Red Army of the Soviet Union against the remaining German military forces, victoriously, with the epilogue of the red flag, finally hoisted on the Reichstad building.
Thus ended the greatest war massacre that the history of humanity had ever known until then, paid at the highest cost in terms of victims by the Soviet Union, with 30 million deaths, after having suffered the most ferocious invasion, in aim of extermination of its resident populations by the Nazi-fascist armies, with the start of Operation Barbarossa on 22 June 1941.
It was, precisely, as Hitler openly declared, not simply a war of occupation of territories, with the aim of causing the destruction of the Soviet and socialist regime, but a real operation of extermination of the Slavic peoples, of a racist nature, because they were judged, among the others, “inferior peoples”.
After the first months of painful and dramatic resistance to the invasion by the Red Army of the Soviet Union, with the glorious battle of Stalingrad, the fortunes of the war were reversed which saw, progressively, the Soviet troops chasing the invaders, liberating the territory of the whole country, and then of all of Eastern Europe, up to Berlin, precisely, determining the defeat of the Third Reich, hitting Nazism in its lair, from which it had unleashed the war of aggression against all European peoples.
This is why the date of May 9th, as the day of Victory against Nazi-fascism, must remain, in the memory of the people, as an indelible memory of the real holocaust represented by the Second World War.
The victory achieved by the Red Army of the Soviet Union still rings today as a severe warning for all the forces of US and EU imperialism, which today pursue a project of world domination, against all the peoples and states they defend, courageously and proudly, its freedom, sovereignty and national independence, to overcome the organization of a unipolar world, characterized by the domination of US and EU imperialism, and create a multipolar, peaceful world based on mutual international collaboration and solidarity of peoples and States, in a perspective shared by all humanity.
On the occasion of May 9th, Victory Day against Nazi-fascism, while Europe once again echoes the signs of a war desired and constructed by US and EU imperialism, through NATO, against the Russian Federation and all peoples who love peace, freedom, sovereignty and national independence, may the ancient battle cry that led to that victory resound louder and more decisively:
NOW AND ALWAYS RESISTANCE, AGAINST NAZI-FASCISM, FOR THE FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF PEOPLES AND STATES, AGAINST CAPITALISM AND IMPERIALISM, FOR SOCIALISM!!!
