The prosecutor reconstructed the story in the courtroom, which was also caught on camera. That night, Sala was “in a clear state of agitation and following the massive intake of alcohol and drugs”, runs along Via Russolo and approaches the entrance to Sky several times, shouting incoherent phrases: “They are chasing me, call the police”. Sala tried to wriggle but then he has lost consciousness and the arrival of help was in vain. According to the prosecutor, the 34-year-old dies from “terminal decompensation of diffuse myocardial ischemia that arose in the context of acute intoxication of cocaine” but “the concausal action of the conduct must also be considered violent” of the guards “which produced a state of further stress”. Cocaine alone – concludes Gobbis – “would not have been sufficient to cause death”.
