“Il Maggio della cultura” kicks off at the “Plinio il Vecchio” comprehensive institute

Also this year at the “Plinio il Vecchio” Comprehensive Institute, the cultural and literary event “Il Maggio della Cultura: the School as a living space of Dialogue and Beauty” is ready to start. For this third edition, there are various initiatives planned and opportunities to meet literature, science, pedagogy and legality.

The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Cisterna di Latina, will start on May 10th by hosting the writer Gianluca Caporaso (Elsa Morante Award), the meeting with the writer Fulvia Degl’Innocenti (Andersen Award) will be held on May 13th, and on the 14th May with prof. Arturo De Vivo, full professor of Latin literature at the University of Naples “Federico II”, on 15, 16 and 20 May with the writer Luisa Mattia (Andersen Prize), on 23 May the Day of Legality will be celebrated together with the Libera Against Association the mafias, finally the meeting with the writer Giacomo Bertò (Oscar of Italian literature “Special young people prize”) is scheduled for May 27th.

“Our school, as a cultural hub – underlines the head teacher, Professor Fabiola Pagnanelli – opens its doors to the territory again: pupils, parents and teachers will be able to enjoy highly educational experiences. The exhibition, in fact, was born precisely from the strategic identity of the institute that I manage, namely Educational Orientation, that educational process of growth that accompanies all our children from infancy to lower secondary school in the discovery of their talents and their attitudes. The May of Culture represents an osmosis of all those pedagogical and cultural variables that we implement every day and that citizens now recognize in an authentic and objective way. This year we have decided to further enrich the event with an event linked to the Community Educational Pact, signed with the Municipal Administration, which will see the children of all the schools in Cisterna as protagonists. Our goal is to continue to promote significant cultural and educational paths; the school will once again be the scene of positive relationships and experiences for the growth and renewal of the socio-cultural context of our territory”.
