Municipal Administration of Caulonia, invites to a debate meeting: “A beach for All: the objectives achieved and the prospects for a future without barriers”, which will be held on Friday 10 May 2024, starting at 5.30 pm, at the Playground and the Municipal Library, in via Brigida Postorino, Caulonia Marina.
Speakers: Francesco Cagliuso – Mayor of Caulonia, Domenico Mantegna – Councilor delegated for social policies and welfare of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, Antonella Ierace – Councilor for Social Policies Caulonia, Nicola Ritorto – Socio-Cultural Area PI Caulonia, Maria Paola Sorace – President Soc Coop. Pathos and other representatives of Third Sector Associations operating in Locride.
Sports demonstrations of I Girasoli della Locride will follow.
During the debate meeting we will talk about the results of the project “A free beach for all”, inaugurated in August last year on the Caulonia seafront, south side, created with funding from the Social Policies sector of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, which guaranteed the accessibility of the free beach to disabled people through the use of specific equipment with a fixed position of volunteers, with an eye towards the new programming of local social services.
