Path

As previously mentioned, our journey to discover Sutri starts from much further away, precisely from Civitavecchia. After a short visit to the charming town overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea we set off towards Tolfa, a small municipality in the province of Rome with just 4,724 inhabitants. Leaving the small town behind, we move on to another small town near Lake Bracciano. We arrive precisely at Monterano Canala ghost town completely immersed in nature where it is possible to visit some buildings that have now fallen into ruin, but which reserve their eternal charm for visitors.

We continue near Lake Bracciano and move to Oriolo Romano and effectively enter the province of Viterbo. The small village is located on the gentle reliefs of the Sabatini Mountains and is characterized by a predominantly hilly landscape full of woods. In fact, the municipality is part of the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park and has numerous natural environments and ecosystems that are different from each other, despite not having a very large surface area. A short stop in this village will give you the right energy and rest to continue the journey towards our destination.

Leaving Oriolo Romano behind, we finally arrive in Sutri. The ancient town which is located on a spur of Tuff will make our motorbike trip decidedly interesting as we discover the mysteries and history of such a characteristic location. Connected to Sutri there is also Ronciglione and you can’t help but pass by there if our reference destination is Sutri. Precisely for this reason our itinerary ends right in the village of Monti Cimini near Lake Vico
