For an eco-sustainable Corato meeting organized by the ArcheoClub

The headquarters of the Archeoclub d’Italia aps “Padre E. D’Angelo” of Corato is pleased to announce the final conference relating to the project “For an eco-sustainable Corato” referred to in the Puglia Social Capital 3.0 Notice co-financed by the Puglia Region with funds from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies. The event will be held on Saturday 11 May, starting from 8.30 am, in the auditorium of the Federico II “Stupor Mundi” artistic high school, with the aim of celebrating the success of the activities carried out so far and disseminating the knowledge acquired in the course of the entire program and which, it seems necessary to inform, will be a precious opportunity to strengthen the links between the different realities of the territory and develop shared strategies to be promoted beyond the natural expiry of the project itself.
The educational and experiential activities carried out with the project partner, the cultural association Agorà 2.0, in collaboration with the Tattoli – De Gasperi comprehensive institute, with the renamed Federico II artistic high school, with the municipal administration and the Park Authority National Association of Alta Murgia, will provide an overview of the successful experiences and lessons learned, the results obtained and what is to be achieved, offering ideas and suggestions to promote greater protection of the environment and diffusion of the culture of responsible consumption.
During the event, a special focus will be dedicated to the various innovative strategies adopted to face these challenges: from artistic-creative paths to laboratories, workshops to training, information and educational activities; awareness-raising actions aimed at informing the community on the importance of correct waste management and reduction, reuse and recycling practices; the methods of implementing separate waste collection through the active involvement of students, teachers and citizens in the correct separation of recyclable materials; to the promotion of creative recycling to encourage the creative recycling of waste materials, but not only.
The principle “For an eco-sustainable Corato” will not cease its effects upon expiry of the project’s legal terms; the experiences acquired and the subsequent educational and training activities of the Local Headquarters of the Archeoclub D’Italia will make the students spokespersons for a new mentality oriented towards respect for the environment, motivating and educating them from an early age.
Institutions, citizens, stakeholders, city schools and associations are invited to actively participate in the conference, contributing with their experiences and ideas to create a more sustainable future for all.
