WALNUTS – Great achievement for the Under 15 team of 11-a-side footballAtletico Noci who with the 2-1 victory over Monospolis last May 5th won Group A of the Provincial Championship.

After gaining access to the second phase, the Noce boys coached by mister Vito Guarnieri in Group A they faced Monospolis, Real Putignano, Academy Calcio Alberobello, Sportlandia, Polimnia and the two non-category teams of Academy Calcio Monopoli B and Academy Calcio Alberobello B. In the matches valid for the final ranking, the team biancoverde achieved eight victories, two draws and zero defeats which allowed them to reach this important milestone. In the aftermath of this success we interviewed Mister Guarnieri. “The expectations at the start of the championship were good – Guarnieri began by talking about the expectations on the eve of the championship – This is because after 3 years I found a group of kids who had grown up with me since the age of 5 and I knew I had an above all united group”. There is a lot of satisfaction for the entire Walnut club and during the championship there were some decisive moments that increased the belief in the boys and the coach: “I am satisfied with the entire squad of very young players for what they have done both for 11-a-side football and with futsal for their first experience. Futsal had a wonderful season with Mister Fernando Notarnicola. However, for the under 15 11-a-side football it was a crescendo because in the first phase we came second behind Esperia Monopoli and in the second phase, we won the championship against a great team called Monospolis. We only drew two games and won all the others. I feel like saying that after the match we won in Monopoli 3-2 I understood that together with the boys we had the chance to win the championship.” However, the season is not over yet and now we need to prepare for the decisive phase and for a luxury challenge: “Now we are preparing for the finals which will decide the provincial winner and we will try to give our best as always. On May 17th we will be in Salerno because we have been invited by Salernitana for a friendly match against their Under 15 team. This is the right reward for our team who will face a professional team and will be an opportunity to watch our players. I thank Salernitana for inviting us.”
