The mayor of Scafati Aliberti asked for a meeting with President De Luca after the transfer of some nurses to the Nocera hospital
“An urgent meeting to find out the future of the Mauro Scarlato hospital”. The request was sent by mayor of Scafati, Pasquale Aliberti, to the president of Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca. The mayor also hypothesizes a date, “Monday 13 May at 12 or any other possible time”.
On the table is the news of the transfer of seven nurses and social health workers from Scafati to the hospitals of Nocera and Pagani. “This news – declared Aliberti – worries us compared to what is written in the company deed ofASL Salerno. Just as we are unable to respond to the perplexities and continuous requests of my citizens regarding the future of the Scafati hospital”.
“I want to believe – added the mayor – the goodness of the words of De Luca himself when, in a confrontation with the minister Piantedosi on the Cohesion Funds, he underlined the right of mayors to walk in a democratic country and to be able to enter wherever they want. I am certain, therefore, that the Governor will open the doors of Palazzo Santa Lucia to the mayor of Scafati and to the majority and minority administrators who want to come with us to clarify this matter”.
