TeLiMar Palermo gives its soul, but in the end, for just one network, Iren Genova Quinto also wins game 2 of the 5th/8th place semi-finals of the men’s water polo Serie A1. The match played in Liguria ends with the final result of 15-14.

Red cards fly at Punta Sant’Anna, in an even more nervous match than the first leg. The Addaura Club loses Baldineti and Araujo already halfway through the second period, with the result 7-4. The Sicilian team no longer has the technical point of reference. Despite this he doesn’t give up and manages to come back more than once, in the meantime also losing Vitale, Methodistev and Lo Cascio due to protests. The tension, however, continues to rise and as a result many opportunities are wasted in attack.

Despite everything, we reach the last quarter with a gap of only one goal, with TeLiMar continuing to protest for some refereeing decisions, but above all for some serious fouls not seen by Guarracino and Petronilli. The Palermitans then try until the last 7″, but it’s not enough. And finally after three years of consecutive qualifications the Addaura club is out of the LEN Euro Cup.
