At 11.10am today, Wednesday 8 May, the firefighters intervened in the Grassaga area of ​​San Donà due to a fire inside a waste treatment shed, which deals with the reclamation of plastic, metal and composite containers. No one was injured. The flames affected the material being treated with the combustion products invading the entire structure. The firefighters extinguished the flames in the containers, which caused significant smoke production. The causes of the fire are being investigated by firefighters. The structure was closed until the systems and healthy conditions were restored.

The programming of EMFFA 2021-2027, the European structural funds dedicated to the maritime sector, comes to life. The French actress Isabelle Huppert will preside over the International Jury of the Competition of the 81st Venice Film Festival. NEWS. Portegrandi Basin mobile bridge, work begins

The redevelopment works on the mobile bridge of the Portegrandi navigation lock, in via Marzi, on the Silone canal, have begun. The works involve the widening of the bridge by one meter, to make the transit of pedestrians and cyclists safe, separating it from that of vehicles. The bridge movement system will be automated, in sync with the basin and with remote control. The expected duration of the works is approximately two months. In this first phase, to allow the execution of the works, a temporary ban on vehicular, cycle and pedestrian transit of the mobile bridge was established by order of the local police until 26 May. The overall investment on the site is approximately 600 thousand euros.
