Over the weekend of 11-12 May, Naples will be the setting for a series of events suitable for the whole family to celebrate this special day, with a particular focus on the little ones, including shows, guided tours and exhibitions.
Little explorers at the Lapis Museum
Sunday 12 May at 11am, appointment with “Little explorers discover…”, a NarteA project designed to lead children (from 5 to 12 years old) to discover the most representative historical-cultural sites of Naples. The event entitled “The moon in the well” will take place at the Lapis Museum (Piazzetta Pietrasanta) and will see the little explorers descend into the bowels of the city in search of the characters who inhabit the Neapolitan underground.

Tour dedicated to water in dedicated museums
Inside the May of Monuments 2024 – “The waters of Naples”, Sunday 12 May (and on other dates: 18 and 26 May, 1 June) K’ Nature, in collaboration with the Museum Center of Natural and Physical Sciences of Naples , offers specific tours and mini-tours of the 5 Museums focused on the theme of water as an environment and element of the natural world. Each date will include the organization of both activities designed for children and their companions – with a recommended age of 6 to 10 years – and guided tours aimed at an adult audience and teenagers.

Capodimonte Museum raises awareness of the theme of water
The Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte joins the Maggio dei monumenti with the route “Water to drink, water to conserve, usable water: from museum collections to the ‘engineering hydraulic systems’ of the Real Bosco di Capodimonte” dedicated to objects and paintings from the museum collections intended to contain or represent water in its various forms.
