CASTELFIORENTINO – He died in a road accident Daniele Petrucci49 years old, CEO of Opera Laboratori spa, a company based in Florence that provides services to museums throughout Italy.
The accident occurred in Castelfiorentino, in Malacoda, on a straight stretch on the evening of May 7th. According to what we learned, the man was returning from a work meeting when he fell ill while he was driving an SUV which then crashed into a tree and ended up in a ditch. The 118 health workers and the firefighters, plus the carabinieri, were on site.
The man died at the scene and could not be saved. The accident did not involve other vehicles. The dynamics and reasons why the manager lost control of the vehicle are being investigated but the hypothesis of a heart attack or other illness is the most accepted one. The magistrate on duty did not order an autopsy and the body was returned to his family. The car was not seized.
According to what has been learned, passing witnesses also confirm that it was an independent accident of the car. Petrucci lived in Florence. He leaves behind his wife and a daughter.
