Among this year’s prominent exhibitors, the Calabria PGI Oil Consortium made its presence felt, bringing with it the intense flavors and age-old tradition of the Calabria region.
The fair, which takes place from 7 to 10 May 2024, offers a unique stage for companies wishing to showcase their innovative and quality products. The Calabria PGI Oil Consortium, known for its extra virgin olive oil with a rich flavor and characteristic bitter and spicy notes, took this opportunity to enhance its distinctive qualities. This year’s event is particularly significant, as it marks a historic moment for the consortium with the introduction of a unique label that aims to give greater visibility and recognition to the product. This strategic move is a step forward towards the affirmation of Calabrian olive oil as a symbol of quality and excellence on the international scene.

And the presence of the Calabria PGI Oil Consortium at Cibus Parma is not only an opportunity to celebrate the Calabrian olive culture, but also a moment of discussion and growth in the broader context of the Italian agri-food industry”, he had the opportunity to say the president of the Consortium, Massimino Magliocchiwho he later met Arsac commissioner Fulvia Caligiuri and the director of the Agriculture department Giuseppe Iiritano, together with the manager Alessandra Celi. «We are honored to participate in Cibus, an event that represents an important showcase for quality agri-food and an unmissable opportunity for our Consortium to show the world the excellence of Calabria PGI oil. The presence of numerous professionals and enthusiasts in the sector offers us the opportunity to share our dedication and commitment in the production of an extra virgin olive oil which is an authentic expression of the Calabrian territory”, remarked Magliocchi.
The meeting with the Arsac commissioner, Fulvia Caligiuri, and the new director of the agriculture department of the Calabria region Giuseppe Iiritano «was a moment of great significance. These interactions strengthen our belief that, by working together, we can do a lot to promote the culture and quality of Calabrian oil, not only at a national but also international level. The support of institutions is fundamental for our work and for achieving the goals growth and development objectives of the sector. The collaboration with Arsac and the agriculture department allows us to face the challenges of the market more effectively and to continuously improve our processes, from production to marketing”, he concludes.
