Anpi Zelasco Brigade of Sestri Levante, ILSREC Historical Institute of the Resistance and the Contemporary Age and the Municipality of Sestri Levante promote a meeting on the figure of the Partisan Commander of the Cichero Division Aldo Gastaldi “Bisagno”, the “first partisan of Italy” as he he defined Giovanni Serbandini as “Bini”.
A meeting to retrace the figure of the one who will become a charismatic partisan commander, a daily example of self-discipline, altruism and spirit of sacrifice, the one who together with Franco Antolini, Umberto Lazagna and Giovanni Serbandini will constitute the first partisan nucleus of the future Cichero Division.
The film created by the University of Genoa “Aldo Gastaldi before Bisagno” will be screened, which will tell the story of the figure of Aldo Gastaldi, a university student and the path that led him after 8 September to choose to undertake the struggle for liberation against Nazi-fascism.
The meeting chaired by Ivan Raso, President of ANPI Sestri Levante will be attended by Paolo Battifora, Coordinator of the ILSREC Scientific Committee and Fabrizio Benente, Vice-Rector of the University of Genoa.
The meeting will be held on Friday 10 May at the Sala Bo Palazzo Fascie, Corso Colombo 50 Sestri Levante
