Starting from Saturday 11 May, on the ground floor of the Palazzo delle Paure in Piazza XX Settembre in Lecco, it will be possible to visit the exhibition “Patagonia yesterday and today”, set up by the Ragni della Grignetta as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of the west face of Cerro Torre by the “Città di Lecco” mountaineering expedition.

Patagonia yesterday and today: the most beautiful images of the Ragni expeditions

The exhibition, which consists of around twenty panels composed of short explanatory texts and large and evocative photographic images, provides an overview of some of the most significant expeditions in which the Maglioni Rossi took part, from the one that saw Carlo Mauri reach the top of Monte Sarmiento in 1956, to the route opened in alpine style on the east face of Cerro Torre by Matteo Della Bordella, David Bacci and Matteo De Zaiacomo, in 2022, obviously passing through the epic of the conquest of the west face of Torre.
