The Board of Directors of the Cooperative Society “La Goccia d’Oro SCA.” announces that the President Giuseppe Oro, on 04 May 2024, resigned irrevocably with immediate effect from both the office of Director and the office of President.
With full awareness, convinced, together with the entire Board of Directors, of having identified Cantine Ermes SCA as the Partner who will be able to give new impetus, new impetus to the relaunch path undertaken by the Cooperative, he decided to hand over the baton to those who like him they believe in this partnership that they have had the burden and honor of representing for over twenty years. This is what we read in his Letter of Resignation.
President Oro joined the Company in 2001, covering roles of increasing responsibility over time: from member of the Board of Directors to President of the same, continuously since 2003.
He thanked the Shareholders, the Members of the Board of Directors, the Board of Statutory Auditors and all the employees and collaborators, for having allowed him in these years to live and develop extraordinary human and professional experiences and for having achieved significant results with all of them.
The Board of Directors, understanding and adopting the sense of responsibility that motivated his decision, accepted his resignation by giving him the most heartfelt thanks for the commitment he has always made in carrying out the roles held in his long career with great experience and professionalism. His trait, unmistakable, pragmatic, always ready to identify the essence of things, remains engraved in all those who have had the privilege of collaborating with him.
In the meeting of 5 May 2024, the Board of Directors, in addition to having accepted, for the above reasons, the resignation of President Oro, proceeded to appoint the new President of the Board of Directors in the person of Mr. Saverio Interrante who, before this new appointment, held the position of Vice President.
In the same meeting, Mr. Rosario Di Maria – President of the Board of Directors of Cantine Ermes SCA – was also co-opted as a new member of the Board of Directors, representing this cooperative company which has become a Supporting Member of La Goccia d’Oro SCA.
