The cast of 28 Years Later, the long-awaited project directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, has been enriched with the arrival of Jack O’Connell.
Jack O’Connell has officially joined the cast of 28 Years Laterthe sequel film created by Alex Garland to be directed by Danny Boyle.
Sony will handle the theatrical distribution of the new chapter of the post-apocalyptic story, of which the first actors were announced a few weeks ago.
The first cast announcements
The protagonists of 28 Years Later will be Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell, although casting has not yet been completed and fans can expect further announcements in the coming weeks.
28 Days Later, the first chapter of the saga, debuted in theaters in 2002 and told the story of a delivery man, played by Cillian Murphy, who awakens after being in a coma, discovering that the world has been turned upside down by a virus and now the world is invaded by zombies.
After its success at the box office, with over 82 million dollars grossed worldwide, the sequel was produced 28 weeks later in 2007.

Jack O’Connell recently starred in Amy Winehouse: Back to black, with the role of the singer’s husband, and is currently busy on the set of the new film directed by Ryan Coogler which will also star Michael B. Jordan. 28 years later it will be his next commitment and filming should begin in a few months.
