‘Yellow’ of the death of the doctor Ansaldi, more time for analysis

MILAN, 07 MAY – The experts who are working on the new consultancy on the “mystery” of the death of Stefano Ansaldi, a 65-year-old gynecologist from Campania found with his throat cut on 19 December 2021 near Milan’s Central Station, have asked for further time to complete their investigations. For the new consultancy, at the end of February, the forensic doctors Cristina Cattaneo, a well-known anatomopathologist who has dealt with the most important cases in the news, and Annalisa D’Apuzzo and also the naturalist anthropologist Giulia Caccia were appointed by the prosecutor of Milan Cecilia Vassena . The pool will have to ascertain whether the cut to the throat can be traced back to a “self-inflicted” gesture. The new consultancy was ordered after the decision of the investigating judge Ileana Ramundo who on 8 January, accepting the request of the 65-year-old’s family, represented by the lawyers Luigi Sena and Francesco Cangiano, rejected the prosecutor’s request for dismissal, ordering further investigations. The outcome of the new analyzes should have been submitted at the beginning of this month, but an extension of the work was requested and will apparently continue for another 60 days. The lawyers of the Ansaldi family, who have never believed in suicide and ask that the murder hypothesis be further investigated, have appointed Professor Pietrantonio Ricci as consultant. The gynecologist, who was having financial difficulties and had arrived that same day from Naples by train, had been seen by witnesses falling to the ground under scaffolding in Via Macchi. According to what emerged from the investigations, no one had noticed an alleged attacker running away. His Rolex and a briefcase with a few personal items were found near his body. Ansaldi was wearing latex gloves and no fingerprints were found on his knife. (HANDLE).
