Castellucchio shooting: De Angeli released from prison and has been under house arrest since yesterday

CASTELLUCCHIO The possibility of obtaining a review of the precautionary custody measure in prison, ordered from the moment of his arrest, had been denied to him due to the impossibility of electing a new domicile for both him and his wife. A denial, the one issued a couple of months ago by judge Giacomo Forte, against the request for release from prison of Nello De Angeli, on trial for the attempted murder of his son-in-law dating back to 31 May 2023, justified by the fact that the property owned by the municipality identified in Castellucchio for the transfer of the 76-year-old, in reality it was completely unfurnished and without utilities, and therefore appeared unsuitable to host the accused under house arrest. A question which already seemed to be on the verge of a solution a few weeks ago but which instead remained pending despite the Municipality’s interest in making the identified apartment habitable by restoring the electricity and gas connections. Hope, that of the defender of the former plumber, the lawyer Cedrik Pasetti, which remained unanswered until yesterday morning when the judge in via Poma finally ordered the immediate transfer from Pavia prison, where the accused was confined, to the indicated property, which has in the meantime been furnished and therefore has become perfectly usable by the pensioner.
