“Request for urgent government intervention to support businesses” – Sanremonews.it

CNA Imperia, through the voice of the Secretary Luciano Vazzanoexpresses deep concern for the situation of the seaside businesses in the area and urges the immediate intervention of the Government through the issuing of adequate legislation to guarantee the protection and stability of the sector.

“The seaside businesses in our province have made enormous efforts in recent years, investing in technological innovation, environmental sustainability, accessibility and digitalisation, also in response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, these investments remain without a regulatory framework clear that it allows for cushioning and the prospect of future development.

We cannot wait any longer: it is essential that the work carried out by the technical table on concessions established at national level is translated into concrete legislative measures as soon as possible. It is essential to define clear criteria on the management of concessions, guaranteeing certainty to operating companies and guidance to coastal municipalities.

As an area heavily dependent on seaside tourism, Imperia cannot afford further delays or uncertainties. A decisive and shared intervention between the Government and sector associations is necessary to safeguard a strategic sector for our economy.

CNA Imperia therefore invites the sector associations to join together in common action to obtain an urgent and adequate measure to guarantee the future of the seaside businesses in our territory.”
