Next Thursday, May 9th, starting from 11 am, a meeting at the archaeological site with important themes that will be developed and at the end of which a guided tour will follow.

CASIGNANA – Enjoying the patronage of the Ministry of Culture – regional secretariat of the Ministry of Culture for Calabria; of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria and the province of Vibo Valentia and the Municipality of Casignana, next Thursday, 9 May, starting from 11 am, a meeting will be held at the Roman Villa of Palazzi di Casignana – State Road 106 at kilometer 82 – with the theme “Protection and revision, restoration of the mosaics of the Roman Villa of Casignana”.
Introductory institutional greetings entrusted to Maria Mallemace, director of the MiC regional secretariat for Calabria; Rocco Celentano, mayor of Casignana and, finally, to Franco Crinò, in the express capacity of deputy mayor of the town of Reggio Calabria, with councilor delegation for Cultural and Landscape Heritage. As far as the interventions previously scheduled are concerned, those of Laura Messina, head of intervention at the Regional Secretariat of the MiC for Calabria, are envisaged; Alfredo Ruga, Sabap archaeologist official for the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria and the province of Vibo Valentia as well as Sabap for the provinces of Catanzaro and Crotone; Andrea Maria Gennaro, Sabap archaeologist official for the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria and the province of Vibo Valentia; Francesco Berardi, Trenitalia regional director – Regional Business and Intermodal Development Directorate; Cosimo Caridi, director of promotion of the tourist offer of the tourism department of the Calabria Region and, finally, Giovanni Alafaci, transport manager of “Autolinee Federico SpA”. At the end of the event, a guided tour of the archaeological site will follow.
