It happened just before the bridge that leads to the town center
Pontinvrea accident – Yesterday evening, Saturday 4 May, at 7.30 pm, along the provincial road 542 of Pontinvrea, at the crossroads with the old Via Giovo, the driver of a car was unable to avoid a collision with a roe deer that suddenly appeared in front of him.
The collision was head-on with the animal flying against the windshield, grazing it entirely, with damage also to the bodywork, fortunately the occupants of the car were unharmed, while things went worse for the roe deer which fell to the ground.
The driver called the Pontinvrea police who arrived on site to report the incident.
The animal was injured on the ground, but we don’t know where it was taken. For damage to the car, once the collision has been verified and documented, there should be no problems with compensation.
On the same evening on the way back from Pontinvrea towards Sassello, we met two large foxes on the roadside in different places after Giovo Ligure, two cats in the locality. Badani, and a roe deer that crossed the road in front of the San Antonio hospital in Sassello going up the bank to Sorerolo.
You have to be careful, but you can’t always avoid a collision.
