two investigated for the death of Luisella Pallozzi

The autopsy and technical consultancy were ordered by the Viterbo prosecutor’s office to shed light on the death of Luisella Pallozzi, the 54-year-old midwife from Narni, on duty at the Terni hospital, who died on Wednesday following a road accident. In the collision between two cars, which occurred around midday at the intersection between the Teverina and the Ombrone road, the woman was thrown out of the car. She and she died after arriving at the Belcolle hospital.

The public prosecutor, Flavio Serracchiani, ordered a non-repeatable double technical assessment to shed full light on the facts, as reported by Studio3A spa which assists the victim’s family.

The drivers of the two cars involved, the victim’s sister, a fifty-year-old from Terni, and a 44-year-old from Viterbo, were registered in the register of suspects, as per reports. The autopsy will have to confirm whether the death occurred solely as a result of the very serious multiple traumas reported in the crash while the kinematic technical consultancy will serve to reconstruct the dynamics, causes and all responsibilities of the accident.

The tasks to carry out the two assessments will be conferred in the offices by the prosecutor’s office on Monday at 10 am to the medical examiner Dr. Matteo Scopetti, who will proceed with the examination, and on Wednesday 8 May at 12 pm to the engineer Mario Scipione who will begin his activities already in same day. In fact, an examination of the accident site is scheduled for 2pm.

The medical examiner Sergio Scalise and the forensic engineer Gianluca Penta, made available by Studio3A-Valore, will participate in the expert operations as technical consultants.

Meanwhile, there are hours of apprehension also for the conditions of Luisella Pallozzi’s 22-year-old daughter who was traveling in the Fiat 500L driven by her aunt, next to her mother in the back seat: the young woman, who among other injuries suffered a fractured pelvis, was transferred on Thursday by air ambulance from the Belcolle hospital in Viterbo – where all the injured had been taken – to the Gemelli in Rome to undergo a delicate surgical operation. The doctors have not yet resolved the prognosis. Her boyfriend, who sat next to her, also suffered serious injuries, including the fracture of two vertebrae, but her life is not in danger. The victim’s sister and her 17-year-old son, who were sitting in the front seats, suffered minor injuries, as did the driver of the other car, a Volskwagen Golf, and her two children who were on board.

Luisella Pallozzi, who in addition to her two children and sister also leaves behind her partner and mother, was going with her relatives to lunch in Bagnoregio. “Immediately after the 500 merged from Strada Teverina to Strada Ombrone – Studio3A reconstructs – the terrible impact with the Golf, which was arriving on this last artery and which then continued its run for almost two hundred meters ending up against two trees: on ‘asphalt, made slippery by the rain, no trace of braking’.
