60 million for nurseries, scholarships, technical training and young people

Udine, 3 May – Guarantee that nursery schools are free and universal, ensure scholarships for all eligible university students enrolled in the universities of Friuli Venezia Giulia, strengthen the technical-professional training chain, increase incentives for companies that they hire women and young people in particular.

These are the main objectives that the regional councilor for Work, Education, Training and Family has assigned to the periodic planning of operations (PPO) which assigns over 60 million euros of European ESF+ resources to Friuli Venezia Giulia for 2024.

The PPO was approved by the Council last 30 April and presented yesterday to the social partners during the work of the consultation table with which the strategic priorities, the projects to be developed, the resources to be allocated within the specific programs that make up the plan. The program is made up of 18 specific programs and is characterized by four priorities: employment, education and training, social inclusion, youth.

14.5 million are destined for employment. Of these 8 million go to incentives for companies for the stabilization or hiring of unemployed people with permanent or fixed-term employment contracts; 5 million to promote access to early childhood services.

13.6 million euros go to education and training, of which 7.3 are for strengthening the offer of the ITS and IFTS courses. Over 17 million are aimed at social inclusion actions, where 7.3 million will be used to promote access, in particular to disadvantaged families, to services for early childhood and 9.4 million to consolidate the training offer for the qualification or requalification of health and social workers.

Resources of 15.3 million euros are allocated to the youth sector. The main measures employ 10.3 million to strengthen apprenticeship paths in all its types and 5 million to guarantee the right to university study for students with income and merit requirements.

During the work of the consultation table, some changes were also presented regarding the PPOs of past years. There are two specific programs that will benefit from an increase in resources. The 2022 PPO (which is worth over 86 million euros) is assigned an additional one million euros for training courses for the benefit of the population undergoing criminal justice at the prisons of Friuli Venezia Giulia and with the duration of the projects until the end of 2024. financial endowment thus rises to 3.6 million euros. The 2023 PPO (which is worth 106 million euros) will receive 3 million euros more for the “Integra” program, which provides training projects for disabilities, to which is added the opportunity for one-stop projects for the training of people in criminal execution. The Program thus reaches a total financial allocation of 18 million euros. 2.5 million are also added to the 2023 Ppo for the strengthening of apprenticeship paths in all its types and the duration of the program is changed from annual to multi-year. The financial allocation of the Program therefore rises to almost 4 million euros. In the same year, 1.2 million are added for family support measures and support for difficult parenting.
