Piergiovanni Domenighiniorganist of the Musical Chapel of the Papal Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi and PhD student at the Ciriaf institute in Perugia, talks about his experience as an explorer and interpreter of one of the myths of 20th century music, John Cage that’s right from his knowledge and passion for the world of mushrooms he had drawn key indications for his compositional work.

In his conception the unpredictability or randomness they were at the basis of the creation of musical compositions, which occurred on the basis of processes that could not be determined by the composer: hence the link with the world of mushrooms. During the meeting Domenghini plays three organ compositions and talks with Francesco Fossati And Carlo Steiner, the two artists who work using mushrooms as raw material for their works on display at Casa Testori.
