VILLA GARIBALDI The Mantua firefighters intervened yesterday afternoon shortly after 6.30 pm at Villa Garibaldi due to a fire that broke out on the Corte Pilla agricultural company.
According to the information gathered, it was a rather large fire that involved the garage in which various agricultural tools were kept, including tractors. Two teams of the Mantua fire brigade were on site and worked for several hours to put out the flames. Except, fortunately, for the large biogas plant which is located not far from where the fire broke out. The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed although it could be a short circuit. The rescue services were alerted by the owners themselves who live in the area. The damage suffered by the farm has yet to be quantified although, given the extent of the fire, it could be considerable.
