Here is a second meeting on the suburbs. The Valenzi Foundation’s commitment to this crucial issue continues. Representatives of other organizations active in the territories will be present.
After the greetings of the President of the Lucia Valenzi Foundation and the introduction of the Vice President Lida Viganoni, the geographer Rosario Sommella presents and coordinates the debate. Speakers for the Arci Scampia Football School will be the founders Antonio Piccolo and Carlo Sagliocco, for the association Noi@Europe (Perife-biblio project) the President Pietro Sabatino, for Foqus Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli the President Rachele Furfaro, for the Cooperativa Sociale Man and wood is the President Rita Caprio, for the Circolo Ilva of Bagnoli the Vice President Guglielmo Santoro with the member of the board Antonio Minguzzi.
Through their testimonies it will be possible to offer a further contribution of knowledge, countering the widespread idea of suburbs only as degraded and marginal places. We want to highlight the positive contribution expressed by the presence of associations, collectives, cooperatives which, going beyond the enormous problems that persist, generate often very vital contexts centered on widespread social and cultural activities.
