“Too expensive and chaotic”: city rejected by the web

Velvet Beach, after the first test tourists fail prices and traffic. Too expensive and too chaotic, these are the criticisms that are echoed in the reviews that tourists have left on various web portals after spending a few days, during the long weekend of April 25th and May 1st, on the velvet beach. The organization of the museums was promoted, found open and applause also came from the possibility of bringing your four-legged friend to the Rotonda a Mare pier and walking around admiring the unique panorama that the symbol of Marche tourism offers.

However, the prices were rejected, aperitifs at 8 euros, too expensive during happy hour: “We spent 16 euros for two aperitifs with limited appetizers – the review of a tourist on a well-known portal – there wasn’t even music from the I live and they had placed tables everywhere, people practically walked over them. With certain prices, a different organization is needed.”

A Gourmet city, which boasts five Michelin Stars in eight kilometers of seafront where, especially in the summer months, there are dozens of highly appreciated restaurants, mostly fish-based: “It is a place where you eat well – we read in a comment – the quality-price ratio is good and there is also a great variety of menus in the restaurants. We found less quality on the pizza where the prices are high.”

The road system is not much appreciated: “It is impossible to travel by car – we read in one review – there are few car parks near the center and the seafront and one-way streets penalize the search. It is not easy to find parking even after dinner, it is a very lively city, especially at the weekend. We were in June and we thought we would find few people but it was a pleasant surprise.”

Rain of criticism on holiday homes: “The quality-price ratio does not exist – we read in a family’s review – we stayed in a house on the seafront where the furniture was old, the beds adapted and the living room was presented to us as a second bedroom Furthermore, the terrace did not have a sea view as proposed.”

But the age of the buildings is a criticism present in numerous reviews.

However, the numerous free events were appreciated: “A city where there is always something to do and family-friendly. Recommended, but avoid bars and restaurants in central areas if you don’t want to spend too much.”
