The divers dived around the overflow without finding anything. They scanned the seabed near Fosso del Diavolo. There, on the southern coast of Torino di Sangro, i molecular dogs they had smelled traces of Milena Santirocco, the 54-year-old from Lanciano who disappeared last Sunday. Today is the fourth day of research.
On Tuesday the specialized teams arrived at Lago Dragoni, on the edge of the landslide along the old disused railway line. This morning they also went into action divers of the Pescara financial police after the Alpine canine units had directed the searches to the height of the overflow. The divers dived into the shallow seabed and resurfaced without having found any elements attributable to the dance teacher and fitness instructor who on Sunday, after having lunch with her sons Manuel and Denis, had left the house to go for a walk. Walking by the sea or in the Lecceta was a habit for Milena. Until 3.40pm she had posted stories on social media in which she recognized the coast of Turin di Sangro. On Monday morning, however, the woman had not yet returned home. Cell phone turned off. Facebook profile deleted. Searches with patrols and patrol boats, inspections from above with helicopters and drones have so far been unsuccessful.
This morning the forensic officers searched the Renautl Clio which had been stopped since Sunday, with the right rear wheel punctured, in the forecourt of Viale Costa Verde, in the Borgata Marina area of Torino di Sangro. At the same time, coordinated by the firefighters, searches continue in the Lecceta Nature Reserve among the dense bush of an area approximately 180 hectares wide.
