In recent years Apple has pushed a lot in terms of video games, so much so as to make its mobile devices real consoles. Even more so with the launch of the latest iPhones, equipped with hardware so powerful that it can equal – at times – the potential of consoles.
Soon we will have the opportunity to understand if the Apple company has succeeded in its aim. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a triple-A title known to console players, now has a release date for iOS devices. Prices also revealed.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive on compatible iPhones – therefore only iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max – on June 6. Ubisoft’s blog post states that the title will also be released on iPad Air and iPad Pro models with M1 chips or later.
Try it and then you’ll pay
The game can be downloaded for free, with a 90 minute trial. After that, you will need to shell out $50 to continue playing. Yes, practically the same price (if not more) than the PC and console price lists.
The title will support cross-progression, so you can pick up the game on iPhone where you left off on PC or console, as long as you log in to Ubisoft Connect.
This feature is crucial because the game was launched several months ago on other platforms, so interested players have probably already started playing it, thus being able to save their progress.
Back to the origins
Mirage is a title that marks the return to the origins of the Assassin’s Creed series. Indeed, while the latest Odyssey series from 2018 or Valhalla from 2020 expanded the initial concept of the game, taking it from its stealth roots towards an open-world RPG experience, Mirage returns to the old-school gameplay style.

More Triple A games on iPhone and Mac
Assassin’s Creed Mirage won’t be the first triple-A game to arrive on iPhone 15 and later, though the list is short so far. Currently, this list consists of the remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village, as well as ports of No Man’s Sky, Death Stranding and Baldur’s Gate 3 available on Macs with Apple Silicon.
