The Emirati company Dana Gasone of the major companies in the Middle East active in the natural gas sector, is “gradually” resuming production in the Khor Mor, in the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan. The company itself declared this in a document filed yesterday with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Dana Gas had temporarily suspended production at the field following a drone attack that hit a storage tank on April 26, killing four Yemeni workers.
The company is introducing new measures to maximize the safety of all personnel and facilities at the field. However, he did not specify when production will be fully restored.
Khor Mor is one of the main deposits in the governorate of Sulaymaniyah, in Kurdistan, and in recent months it has often been the target of attacks. However, no one has ever claimed responsibility for what the United Arab Emirates say are “terrorist actions”. The field is developed by the Pearl Consortium, led by Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum with partners such as the Austrian Omv, the Hungarian Mol and the German Rwe. To date, all the gas produced in the Khor Mor field is used for internal energy production.
