Speaking to the microphones of Radiosei, the correspondent of Sky Sport, Matteo Petruccitold Igor’s modus operandi Tudor experienced from the sidelines during Lazio matches. The journalist told of a coach who had a positive, outspoken and pretentious impact, praising his early merits:
“The first Tudor at Lazio? With Javorcic he speaks in Croatian so trying to understand is not easy. He talks a lot on the bench but he does it in his own language. Compared to Sarri he has no breaks. What did Sarri write? He wrote very small, but he wrote down what he didn’t like to talk about it later with the team. The Croatian is a nice hammer, even in a tough way and he speaks directly. On a tactical level he talks a lot with the deputy and also involves the players on the bench, he explains to them what is wrong on the pitch. Tactical indications are rare, they are more motivational then I will try to work on Croatian. From Papadopulo onwards I experienced all the technicians of the Lotito era. Tudor had a very positive impact, I’m surprised because he brought the team together at a difficult moment, almost at the end of the season with an almost compromised year. Being able to get followed by the group was important, Lazio chose Tudor to open a new cycle and working with many players who could leave is absolutely not easy. This is the main merit of Tudor who gave space to the whole squad.”
