SAN CANZIAN A fire broke out in an apartment in Begliano, in the municipality of San Canzian d’Isonzo, just before 11pm on Wednesday 1st May.
The firefighters of the Gorizia command intervened with the team and the tanker of the Monfalcone detachment, supported by a further tanker and the guard officer from the Gorizia headquarters.
An apartment on the second and top floor of a building with 6 residential units caught fire. Once on site, the firefighters found the man, who was in the apartment at the time of the fire, already in the street.
They then entered the building and while part of the teams took steps to extinguish the fire which, having started from the kitchen and spread to the other rooms of the accommodation, the rest of the firefighters checked how many people were still present inside the building , temporarily evacuating the only 2 tenants present.
The tenant of the burned apartment was taken care of by healthcare personnel who took him to hospital for checks and treatment.
Once the flames were extinguished, the firefighters proceeded to make the accommodation, declared unusable, and the entire building safe, also providing for the evacuation of the fumes and an instrumental check to verify that there were no residues of the gases produced by the building in the building. combustion and the air was breathable.
At the end of the operations, the 2 tenants who had been temporarily evacuated were able to return to their accommodation. The causes of the fire are still under investigation.
State Police are on site, within their jurisdiction.
