CASERTA. Yesterday, at the headquarters of the Regional Council of Campania, the “Raffaele Delcogliano” award ceremony took place with the delivery of certificates of merit to members of the Fire Brigade, the Financial Police and the State Police, who have particularly distinguished themselves in operations or service interventions during 2023.

For the Caserta Provincial Command, the recognition was given to the Coordinator Firefighter Francis of Somma who on January 29, 2021 came to the aid of a girl who had fallen into a well about twenty meters deep, lowering herself with SAF techniques and managing to first immobilize her and then rescue her.
The brilliant technical operation carried out by the Firefighter allowed the perfect success of the operations carried out by the VF team that operated in the rescue intervention, arousing the unconditional applause of the people present and giving further positive prominence to the image of the National Fire Brigade of fire.
