UPDATING. VENETO RIVER. A tragedy has shaken the community of Veneto river, in Friuli Venezia Giuliatoday Tuesday 30 April 2024. A 69-year-old man he died following an accident which occurred while he was busy setting up scaffolding.
Details of the accident
The tragic event occurred in via Kennedy, at a well-known farm for poultry. The victim, a worker hired by an external company, he was working on a truck that he himself was operating when he was hit on the head by a moving bucket. According to initial information, the man was then thrown from the cabin, ending up on the ground and losing his life instantly.
The phases of the accident and the rescue operations
Despite the immediate activation of rescue services by colleagues and farm staff, there was nothing that could be done for the man. The death was confirmed on the spot due to the serious head trauma reported.
Intervention by the authorities
The firefighters and the Carabinieri intervened at the scene of the incident and are now responsible for reconstructing the dynamics of the incident and verifying compliance with workplace safety regulations.
