“The first edition last year – comments the Vitality councilor Andrea Bruscia – was well attended and promoted San Vito al Tagliamento as a point of attraction through a winning concept, that of wine and food as culture. We have created a festival focused on the quality and refinement of both the food and wine and cultural offerings. A format as fresh as a glass of Ribolla Gialla, a symbolic wine of our region, which was much appreciated by the public and on whose path we want not only to continue but also to invest new energy by expanding the project”.

One more day and lots of news.

In fact, compared to the two days last year, the Festival this time it will be developed over three days, opening on May 31st and continuing on June 1st and 2nd. The houses purchased by the Municipality made their debut at the first edition and then enriched various city events throughout the year.

“And the area dedicated to wine & food – adds Bruscia – will be expanded with new points managed by wineries, restaurateurs and food trucks: in addition to the areas confirmed last year in Piazza del Popolo, Loggia and Piazzetta Pescheria we will also cover the courtyard of the Castle and the space in front of the post office. Food and wine offers that will integrate with the rest of the program, always focused on moments of involvement, even for young people. The area is also expanding because two days of crafts market are added in the historic center dedicated to the theme of Ribolla Gialla with dozens of exhibitors”.

The call for expressions of interest in the management of the houses was opened in recent days (organized together with C’entro anch’io – Associazione Sviluppo e Territorio): you have until April 30th.

An award for the best yellow Ribolle.

Another open call is that of news regarding the wine selection dedicated to Ribolla Gialla. “During the festival – underlines the councilor – we will reward the best yellow Ribolle produced by the wineries of Friuli Venezia Giulia. A prestigious selection of which together with the Consortia we are taking care of the promotion among wine companies. I am already There are several registered wineries and in the second half of May at Palazzo Rota, the municipal headquarters, we will have the tastings of the quality jury, which will choose the best boils which we will then reward during the festival”.

Finally the cultural program. “We are working with the Pordenonelegge Foundation – concludes Bruscia -, who I thank for having undertaken this important collaboration with us, for meetings in the square with great names in culinary culture and beyond: we will soon be able to make the first appearances official”.
